This is my new rat, Beany! (aka Bean, B-Man) My brother's gal is enrolled in veterinary school, and they were issued a rat to practice procedures on, drawing blood and the like. But once that part of the course was over, they had to either find a home for their animal or euthanize it. She couldn't bear to put him to sleep (he is awfully sweet) so he's mine now. I love him to bits, and my cat....she might not love him, but she's definitely entertained by his antics.
